Hiccup X Reader ch.2: Waking up

~Hiccup's p.o.v.~

 It has been two days since the girl came here. I stitched her rib up, with a little help from Gobber, and set her broken leg with a metal guard wrapped in cloth. Toothless has been playing with Dawn a lot, it seems he's really starting to like her. I walked down stairs and headed for the door to my date with Astrid. "Dad! I'm going now!" I called up stairs. "Ok, son!" My dad, Stoick, called back with his usual loud voice. I walked closer to the door and right when I was about to grab the doorknob I heard a slight noise.

 I turned around and I saw the girl stirring in her sleep. I went to her side because that's the first time she has moved. She was making a tired noise but she was still unconscious. "...B..." She murmured groggily. "B? What?" I asked out loud shaking my head trying to figure it out. "...B-Beser....kers." She murmured making my blood run cold. "She was attacked." I said thinking out loud. "...D-Dagur." She murmured again. 'She met Dagur the Deranged.' I thought. "But...why?" I asked out loud.

 "D-Dawn is....not H-Hiccup's." She murmured making me feel really guilty. 'It's my fault.' I thought barring my head in my hands. I didn't feel like going on my date anymore.

~Timeskip, normal p.o.v.~

 Astrid had came to the house demanding why Hiccup stood her up. She barged in seeing you very weakly opening your eyes. "...H...H-hello?" you asked groggily. "...Hello...Uhhh, who are you?" Astrid asked as Hiccup walked down stairs. "(N-Name)." you said. "So that's your name?" Hiccup asked. "Y-yes." you said. "Well, I'm Astrid and this,"-grabbing Hiccup in a head lock and messing up his hair-"is my boyfriend, Hiccup." Astrid said as Hiccup pushed away her arm. You put your left arm against your head and sighed weakly. "Where am I?" you asked with your eyes closed.

 "Welcome to Berk." Hiccup said with his arms out like showing you Berk but you were still in his house. You rolled over to your left side tiredly and then realization hit you and you sat up quickly. "Where's Dawn?!" you asked before feeling a sharp pain in your rib and fell back down on the bed with a scream of pain. Hearing that Dawn burst down stairs and nudged your shoulder. "D-Dawn..." you said with a soft smile. Toothless went down stairs after Dawn and your jaw dropped looking at him. "Another Night Fury?" you said shocked.

 "I was surprised seeing Dawn too." Hiccup said leaning on Toothless. "I'm really confused right now." Astrid said trying to make sense of all of this. "Oh, right. Well, (Name) came here during the storm with a bleeding rib and broken leg. She just woke up today." Hiccup said the simplest way he could. "How much blood did she loose?" Astrid asked. "A lot...Astrid, can I talk to you upstairs? (Name) does need her rest because of her blood loss." Hiccup said already walking upstairs backwards. "Sure...I guess." Astrid said following.

 "What?" Astrid asked quietly when they were in Hiccup's room. "I think (Name) was attacked by the Berserkers." I said sitting down on my bed. "What?!" Astrid whispered. "How would you know?!" Astrid asked sitting next to me. "She talked in her sleep. She said 'Berserkers' and 'Dagur'." Hiccup said. "Hiccup...if the Berserkers think she's with us...because she has a dragon...they're going to come-" Astrid said. "-here." Hiccup finished for her and he realized how close they were and almost blushed. Astrid noticed this and leaned in. Hiccup gulped and Astrid kissed him on the lips. Astrid pushed him down to laying down. 'What weird timing.' Hiccup thought.
